Weaving through the dimly lit streets, he inadvertently spotted a cluster of eerie shadows swaying restlessly. Just as he slowly approached to investigate, the shadows suddenly scattered with heavy thuds, leaving behind a frog lying motionless on the ground.

J hesitated for a moment, then reached out to scoop the dying creature into his medical bag and rushed back the way he came.
